The Ikonn Racing team raced its final championship race of the 2012 season on 21st October. We recorded the quickest time in qualifying which put us on pole for the start of the race. After 40 minutes of leading the race we were hit from behind and has to fix a broken bumper. We joined the race again in last position and 8 laps down from the leader. We raced very hard to make the time up and ended the day in 6th position.

We finished the endurance championship in 6th position overall. We had hoped for more this year but with constant bad luck all season we are happy with this result. We managed to finish every race we competed this year with no retirements from any race or championship. We competed in the 4.5hr OEKC endurance championship against another 38 teams and in the SuperOne championship against 39 drivers. We started the year with new equipment which we had to learn but it proved to be a good step forward in performace so all looks good for next season.

This November sees one of our drivers (Reece Wade) and a team mechanic go to the Bahamas for 10 days with Formula Kart Stars to represent the United Kingdom. His Kart and equipment has been shipped over for his arrival. We will let you know how he gets on!
